Which barlow lens should I buy?

I'm stuck between the Orion Shorty 2x, Shorty Plus 2x and the Celestron Deluxe 2x (#93507).

Is there any real difference between any of those 3? I'm using a Starblast 4.5 reflector.

I can't find the Celestron Deluxe 2x (#93507) on their web site; the only Barlows they show are #93326 Omni 2x and #93506 Ultima 2x. These are probably identical to the Orion Shorty 2x and Orion Shorty Plus 2x respectively. The Ultima and Shorty Plus have excellent reputations as 3-element apochromatic Barlows; the Omni/Shorty are inexpensive 2-element Barlows of intermediate quantity. As I said in another answer, a long Barlow, if you can find one, would probably give better results in a Newtonian like yours. My second choice would be the Ultima/Shorty Plus. I have an Ultima myself and it is excellent. Third choice would be the Omni/Shorty: not first class, but similar in quality to the eyepieces which came with your scope.

Should I get a night vision binocular or monocular?

I want to buy a night vision device, but I am trying to decide between a monocular, or a binocular, both of which would be head-mounted.

What are the advantages and disadvantages to both?

They will be used mainly for fun, possibly for airsoft and generally just jacking around.

When spotlighting its real easy for someone to look out and see the light and call the cops on you but i use mine to locate the deer and then just use the light for those few seconds that i need it. It makes things a lot easier and alot more successful.

Is a "LensPen" ok to use to clean my Hyperion eyepeices?

I've got an optical lens cleaner made by LensPen. It says it's safe for all lenses. I'm a little skeptical about using it on my coated telescope eyepieces. Will it hurt anything? For those not familiar with this product, it is a pen with a retractable goat hair brush on one end and a carbon dry-cleaning head on the other end. Your supposed to brush off the visible contaminants and then gently rub the lens with the carbon pad until clean.

Yes, I have used it on my eyepieces with great success. I have a large one and a small one.

But, use an air puffer first to blow off the larger dust chunks.

Any digital camera binocular recommendations?

Hi.
I'm attending a concert this weekend and the venue does not allow cameras, however I want to get really good pictures of the show. Binoculars are allowed, so i'm interested in getting a pair that has a digital camera built in.
But i've been looking at some models online and the camera part is obviously visible after a quick glance at the binoculars. I'm worried they will get taken away at the show because of this. Does anyone know of a model that has a camera but looks as if it's just a regular pair of binoculars? Or does anyone have suggestions for how to get pictures?

All the binoculars with cameras look like they don't have a camera... Unless the concert has good lighting the photos
